The Adjunct Faculty Advisory Committee will be holding its Spring 2023 Election from April 10th through May 3rd, 2023.
Candidate Nominations will be accepted from April 10th to April 23rd.
Self-nominations must include name, college affiliation, and length of service at UMBC as well as responses to the following questions:
- What strengths do you think you would bring to the AFAC? (200 words or less)
- What issues do you think the AFAC should be addressing during the 2023-2024 academic year? (200 words or less)
Nomination materials must be submitted electronically. A nomination form will be posted on the AFAC myUMBC page on April 10th, 2023.
Voting will take place on the AFAC myUMBC page from April 24th to May 3rd.
Elections are being held for 5 AFAC representatives:
- 2 from CAHSS
- 1 from COEIT
- 1 from CNMS
- 1 non-college affiliated
These positions will serve a term of 2 academic years from FALL 2023 through SPRING 2025. AFAC members receive a yearly stipend equivalent to one semester course and are reimbursed for travel and other reasonable expenses, consistent with USM and UMBC travel policies. The committee typically meets every other week during the Fall and Spring semesters. Our current meeting time is "payday" Fridays from 4pm-5pm.
