The UMBC Adjunct
Faculty Advisory Committee (AFAC) is pleased to announce its first awards in
2015-2016 to adjunct faculty members. The awards are for research and
professional development.
Dr. Elliot D. Lasson
(Adjunct II, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Shady Grove)
has been awarded support to present at the 2015 Fall Chesapeake Human
Resources Conference (November 10, in Baltimore) and partial support for a trip
to Israel to lecture at Ariel University and at Bar Ilan University (January
2016).
Dr. Dabrina
Taylor (Adjunct, American Studies) has been awarded support to present her
research at the 2016 National Popular Culture & American Culture Association Conference (Seattle, March 22-25,
2016). Ms. Taylor will
present a paper, “The Little Black Dress: Negotiating Sexual Exchange,
Embodied Femininities, and Modernity,” in the Conference area on Fashion,
Style, Appearance, Consumption and Design.
