Update on UMBC Transit Mobile Boarding
Dear Students,
Earlier this week, UMBC announced that riders would begin using the Token Transit mobile app to board UMBC Transit buses.
We are pausing the launch of the mobile boarding system at this time. Students should continue presenting their UMBC ID when boarding, as they did before the announcement. You do not need to use or activate a mobile pass at this time.
Access will continue to be available to you as it has been in the past. We apologize for any confusion caused by the earlier communication. During this pause, we will review the app experience and implementation process to ensure that any future transition is clear, accessible, and user-friendly. Students will receive advance notice and detailed instructions before any future launch.
