ASME's Baltimore chapter is seeking volunteers to help with their yearly Straw Bridge Competition. This year, 21 teams of middle school students will build bridges from soda straws and attempt to drive a 1/64 scale Matchbox truck loaded with 6.5 lbs of lead across their bridge.
Volunteers are needed for judging and for organizing. Additionally, you'll get a chance to see the Baltimore Museum of Industry which is a wonderfully fun hands-on museum displaying technology from a variety of industries past and present.
