Let's Get Techy (Engineers Week)

Want to help kids fall in love with their STEM education?

Cancelled due to Baltimore County Schools being closed today.

Let's Get Techy is our major outreach program where we have students from a local middle school STEM program come to learn engineering basics from multiple student organizations. In the past we have done bridge building and stress testing and aluminum boat buoyancy tests. We are always looking for fun ideas on how to get younger students engaged in STEM learning!

Currently we are looking for people to volunteer for the activities scheduled from 10am-12pm. Each activity slot is 30 minutes long so you can volunteer from:

10:am-10:30am

10:30am-11:00am

11:00am-11:30am

11:30am-12:00pm

The longer the better!

The students will then be eating lunch at True Grits Dining Hall from 12:15pm-1:15pm.

Following that they will split into two main groups and attend a panel of student speakers and a tour of campus from 1:30pm-2:30pm, switching after 30 minutes. If you are interested in speaking on the panel or guiding a campus tour please fill out the form linked below.
