MAC Subcommittee: Earner Experience & Communication — Meeting #1
Shaping the future of UMBC's microcredentials
The Microcredential Advisory Committee (MAC) brings together faculty, staff, and campus partners to help shape the future of UMBC's digital credential ecosystem. The MAC's work is organized around three strategic pillars: microcredential design and quality, the earner experience and communication, and employer engagement and economic mobility.
The Earner Experience & Communication subcommittee focuses on ensuring that UMBC's digital credential ecosystem is clear, accessible, and valuable to the people who earn and use microcredentials. The group considers how learners discover microcredentials, understand their value, articulate the skills they have gained, and use their credentials in educational, professional, and career contexts. The subcommittee also brings particular attention to the experiences of historically underserved and underrepresented learners.
