The passing of UMBC Police Officer Michael Williams
It is with a very heavy heart that the UMBC Police Dept. must announce that PFC Michael Williams passed away suddenly and unexpectedly yesterday afternoon. Mike joined the UMBC PD in June of 2022. Mike's distinguished law enforcement career spanned through three other police agencies, Baltimore City, University of Baltimore, and University of Maryland Baltimore, before joining ours. Mike always had a smile on his face, took the time to speak with you and was willing to help in any way he could. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Mike will surely be missed by his fellow officers and the university.
