Hello there, fellow BioCom Members!!
We hope your semester is off to a good start and you are ready for more exciting Biology endeavors :)
Good news is, we've got an EXCELLENT opportunity lined up for you -- Dr. Jeff Leips will be hosting an in-person lab tour on Monday, February 21st from 12 - 1 pm.
Dr. Leips studies the genetic basis of age-specific changes in traits that contribute to senescence and ultimately limit life span. His lab uses the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model organism. Dr. Leips also works on understanding the ecology of natural populations of Drosophila to identify the agents of selection acting on genes controlling these traits.
You should join us to …
- discover more about genetics and molecular biology
- learn more about real-life lab experience
- expand your professional network
- gets advice on careers in research and academia
