Tagide deCarvalho, Keith Porter Imaging Facility, will be joining the Library for an exciting virtual workshop on Monday, March 29th at noon.
Fluorescence is a phenomenon whereby certain substances “glow” when absorbing light energy. A vast array of fluorescent molecules are used in the life sciences to visualize microscopic structures. In this workshop, Tagide deCarvalho will explain the physics behind fluorescence microscopy and how this dazzling technique is used for biological research and to produce artful images.
