Pathways to Neuroscience Virtual Panel - Oppurtunity for undergrads interested in studying the brain
The science outreach teams at Society for Neuroscience (DC Chapter), University of Maryland’s Neuroscience and Cognitive Science program, and Johns Hopkins’ Neuroscience Training program have organized a virtual neuroscience research/career panel for undergraduates throughout the DMV area.
The panel will have PhD students, post-baccalaureate fellows, and MD-PhD students, all involved in the field of neuroscience. In this casual panel, we will be answering questions from you guys about basically anything, such as why we decided on our career path, advice for young students, likes/dislikes about our jobs, and much more! We will start with a general panel discussion (~45 mins), and then break into smaller groups (e.g., one breakout room with only PhD students), to allow for more specific questions.
Our event will take place on October 21 at 5 pm EST. If you are available and are even mildly curious about pursuing neuroscience in your future career, come hang out with us and ask some questions!
Fill out the short Google form to indicate your interest here (required to attend this virtual event!): https://forms.gle/ZvcYpPCRRbFH4s7w5
