Voice of Small Business Maryland forum: Small Business & Government Maximizing Entrepreneurship-Driving Innovation:
On February 28, 2014 the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy is visiting the State of Maryland to learn about small business, entrepreneur and innovator experiences. On this day they will ask the small business community to share their Big Ideas | Barriers | Best Practices to enhance federal policies, regulations, programs that support successful entrepreneurship and innovation.
Entrepreneurs, innovators, advocates, and sector subject matter experts are invited to register for one of the six (6) breakout sessions and participate in a facilitated roundtable discussion with regional representative from the Office of Advocacy. SBA’s Office of Advocacy advances the views and concerns of small businesses, entrepreneurs and innovators before Congress, the White House, the federal agency, the federal court and state policy makers. To support these efforts, during the facilitated roundtable discussions on February 14th the Office of Advocacy will DOCUMENT Big Ideas, Barriers and Best Practices presented by members of the ecosystem during each of the six (6) breakout sessions.

§You are an entrepreneur and have one or more Big Idea to share with the federal government that could enhance policies and encourage fair regulatory treatment of small businesses in support of future growth and prosperity.

§You are a subject matter expert supporting any of the six sectors mentioned and would like the federal government to become aware of the Best Practices that support entrepreneurship and innovation.
§You are an advocate working with Young Entrepreneur, Women and Veteran Government Contractors and you have documented Barriers and Best Practices experienced by some of the nearly 500,000 small businesses in the State of Maryland.
§You are the Voice of Small Business - Maryland and want to support the Office of Advocacy with documenting regional regulatory concerns of small businesses, entrepreneurs and innovators
