Writing About Teaching for Tenure and Promotion
How do you craft a persuasive narrative about your teaching?
Tuesday, May 7, 2019 · 2:30 - 4 PM
You’ve written papers, proposals, abstracts, and presentations that describe your research plans and accomplishments—but what about your teaching? As part of the tenure and promotion process faculty are asked to write a self-assessment that includes not only their goals and accomplishments as a scholar, but also as a teacher. How do you craft a persuasive narrative about your effectiveness as a teacher? In this session, FDC staff will share ideas for writing compellingly about your teaching, including what kinds of evidence best support your claims. A light snack is provided.
Please note that this workshop is not offered every year.
