Teaching Content + Tools √ §
How do you strike a balance between tools and content?
Monday, March 9, 2020 · 12 - 1:30 PM
Do you teach a course that combines both “tools” (e.g., software, equipment, technologies) and “content” (e.g., disciplinary concepts and ideas)? If so, how do you strike a balance between the two? Do you use the content to motivate students to learn the tools? How do you assess students’ learning of both the tools and the content? In this session, faculty who teach such courses will have the opportunity to discuss common challenges and best practices.
