We want to continue to support our colleagues in their efforts to sustainably balance life priorities with work responsibilities and to pursue meaningful intellectual and professional goals.
In keeping with our mission to support CAHSS women faculty at key junctures in their careers, we will again offer assistance to colleagues going up for promotion or tenure this year: an online library of past self-assessments and mentorship on writing the self-assessment.
If you have successfully passed review for contract renewal, senior lecturer, tenure, principal lecturer, or full professor, you can help and we’d love to have you. So:
1) If you'd be willing to share the self-assessment you submitted for any of these reviews, please email it to Michelle (mscott@umbc.edu) or Kate (drabinsk@umbc.edu) at your earliest convenience. We’ll add it to our online library. Note: we especially need self-assessments from senior lecturers and principal lecturers.
2) If you'd be willing to read and comment on drafts of others' self-assessments over the summer, please let Kate (drabinsk@umbc.edu) or Michelle (mscott@umbc.edu) know by June 7 and we'll add you to the list.
Are you going up for promotion and/or tenure and want support? Please let us know by email so we can share our library of documents with you and arrange volunteer readers if you would like that assist.
And happy end of the longst-shortest-longest academic year on record!
