While every UMBC undergraduate is a member of the Student Government Association, 20 students each year devote extra time to organizing and supporting other undergraduate students in making UMBC their own. Those 20 serve as elected officers of SGA: President, Executive Vice President, VP for Student Organizations, Treasurer, Senators (11) and Finance Board Representatives (5). Officers elected this semester will serve from May 15, 2018 - May 15, 2019.
SGA positions offer a chance to work with others on initiatives that make a difference on campus and can empower all students. You don't need any experience. You will receive training and support, and gain access to many resources to help you succeed.
After the due date,candidates will receive more information via e-mail regarding next steps, including campaigning. Voting will take place on MyUMBC from April 23-25, 2018.
