Fall 2021 Registration – Advising Appointment Information for Current Students:
All students must meet with an advisor in order to obtain
registration clearance for the upcoming fall semester. If you haven not yet scheduled your advising appointment you should do so soon.
Pre-Computer Science, Pre-Mechancial Engineering, Pre-Chemical Engineering, and Pre- Computer Engineering majors can schedule an appointment here. Pre-majors are all first semester UMBC students (freshmen and transfers) and anyone who has not yet passed their gateway. If you are currently enrolled in a gateway course you are still a Pre-Major.
Students who have passed their gateway, and are not first semester transfer students, will need to receive advising clearance from their faculty advisor. More information about faculty advisors can be found here.
New Students Admitted for Summer of Fall Semester:
Newly admitted students for the Fall semester may not register for courses until Summer Orientation. Please sign up for Orientation here.
Information Systems and Business Technology Administration majors (or students intending to change to one of these majors) are advised in the Information Systems Department. Please go herefor more information.
If you are changing your major to a major outside the
College of Engineering and Information Technology, please contact the respective
department of your new
major for advising appointment instructions. Please remember to
complete a Declaration
of Major form for your new major.
Summer Session Classes:
Summer Session registration is open. Students do not need to meet with an advisor prior to registering for summer courses unless they have questions or concerns. If you intend to take a course off-campus during the summer, a Verification of Transferability Formis required in advance of taking the summer course.
