Hey everyone!
We hope this message finds you well — lots to cover this week! First, our seventh meeting will be this Wednesday (10/27) at 7 PM, in Public Policy (PUP) room 208 as always, with the caveat that the location can change depending on safety concerns. After last week's debate-slash-speaker medley, this'll just be a chill session — and we'll be giving out flyers to put up for our club!
HUGE thank-you to Mia of the College Republicans for making this flyer for us! We'll be passing out copies this Wednesday if you want to put them up!
New server — first 15 in get to choose an emote :^)
Moving right along, we just launched our own Discord server, which you can join here! It shall serve more as a bridge between CR members and other clubs, and yes, that means we absolutely want you to share this link with non-CRs so that we can have a plurality of discussions! If it becomes popular enough, we hope to be able to host semi-regular cross-club debates within it — all depends on folks getting in there, & by all means send us feedback to improve the server too! If you're one of the first few in, @ the secretary with the server emote you'd like to add, within reason ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Change My Mind
Next order of business, we are currently in the planning stages of a Change My Mind outdoor event in front of the library, Steven Crowder-style — and we want you to participate! We plan to have several volunteers whose minds are to be changed covering different time slots, and the more volunteers we get, the longer the event can be! If you're interested in participating, please fill out this form with your time availabilities and topics you'd be comfortable discussing. Non-College Republicans welcome!

Other upcoming events
Leo from last week's meeting was kind enough to let us know about this^ upcoming talk with Senator Chris West in Towson this Saturday. We hope to see many familiar faces there, and if you have any pertinent questions for Mr. West, send the secretary an email and we can pass them along to be answered!
In addition, as mentioned previously, a reading of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death" is coming up on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021, 6:30-7:30 PM, at the gravesite of Edgar Allen Poe in Baltimore, 515 W Fayette St, MD 21201, with a $10 ticket price. More details here:

Next debate
For those who have not yet done so, definitely join our GroupMe, as we will be hosting another 5 polls there to decide the next debate topic! While you're at it, follow this myUMBC page too! Direct links below:
