Hey everyone!
We hope this message finds you well. Our ninth meeting will be this Wednesday (11/10) at 7 PM, in Public Policy (PUP) room 208 as always, with the caveat that the location can change depending on safety concerns. This week we'll be discussing future events (such as a potential Jury Nullification educational event), and upcoming debate topics — with a twist. Per our Treasurer Chris Thoms' suggestion, the next string of debates will be solution-based debates, centered around issues such as gun rights, taxes, the media, immigration, infrastructure, and more. We want to hear what issues you'd like to debate the solutions to! We hope to plan out the last few debate topics of the Fall semester in this meeting, and perhaps some of Spring 2022's topics.
Change My Mind: We've now finalized the last few details on this event, and it will be happening on November 16th, from 10 AM to 2 PM in Erickson field off Center Road! We're looking at upwards of five volunteer speakers whose minds are to be changed, and we invite any passersby to have a discussion with one of our volunteers about the state of our great country. 20 special flyers for this event will be passed out this Wednesday's meeting, please come and take as many as you can and post them around campus!
Pre-event planning meeting: For those interested in volunteering for the Change My Mind event, we'll have a rolling meeting from 11 AM to 1 PM tomorrow, November 9th, in library room 373 to discuss potential counterpoints and debate subjects. Involved club officers and all other volunteers not able to attend, please stay after the end of Wednesday's general meeting for a brief rundown of this planning meeting.
T-shirts: We're still in the procurement process, but we will continue to keep those who requested their shirts up to date!
As always, we encourage those who have not yet done so to follow our myUMBC page, join our Discord, and join our GroupMe, since we don’t use Webex Teams much. Direct links are below:

That’s all from us — we hope to see you again soon!
