Crafting Your Story: The Significance of Clay
Cultural Storytelling and Clay Tile Decoration
Join us for a Crafting Your Story Event focused on clay! We'll explore the cultural significance of clay across different communities and engage in dialogue about the role of culture in shaping identity, history, and connection. Come for a chance to reflect, chat with new friends, enjoy some snacks and refreshments, and decorate your own ceramic tile.
Clay has long served as a medium for storytelling, cultural expression, and artistic tradition in many societies around the world. From pottery and sculpture to ceremonial and everyday objects, clay carries histories, knowledge, and cultural meaning across generations. At this event, we'll briefly explore the significance of clay in different cultures and open up a space for conversation about how culture continues to shape our lives today.
Through crafting and dialogue, we invite participants to reflect on the importance of cultural expression and community connection while creating their own clay tile as a personal keepsake. Come for a chance to learn, share, create, and connect with others in a welcoming and supportive environment.
