Come learn about DIY Assistive Tech from UMBC's IS!

Join the Disability Advocate Union and Erin Higgins from UMBC's Informational Systems Department to learn about DIY Assistive Tech! Erin will be sharing examples of projects, share a little bit about the history of DIY Assistive Tech, and talk about how this technology can be utilized to improve lives!

DIY assistive tech is about customizing the technology to the individual, whether in appearance or comfort. The work being done in this field opens up a lot of opportunities for disabled people to have more agency in the tools they use and can make assistive devices more available for the people who need them most.
