AFRICANA STUDIES PROFESSOR TO EULOGIZE AT UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Adjunct Professor Kwame Ansah-Brew of Africana Studies Department has been invited to eulogize the late UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan at the Special Commemorative Plenary Session in honor of the Seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations on September 21 st, 2018. He will offer the eulogy by performing it on an indigenous Ghanaian flute and on Akan talking drums. The text of the eulogy will be translated from Akan into the official languages of the UN.
Professor Ansah-Brew has been an Adjunct Professor in Africana Studies since 2003 giving instruction in African Dances, Drumming, String Instruments, Horns, etc. and on Comparative African Religions.
He is the Founder and President of the Performing Arts Center for African Cultures located in Laurel, Maryland.
