Attend Its Innaugural Monetary Conference
The American Institute for Economic Research (AIER), is holding its inaugural Monetary Conference, Building a Better Fed Framework, next month on December 2, 2024. We would love to invite anyone from the team of staff, faculty, and students at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County Department of Economics to join us.

The conference will take place from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm on Monday, Dec. 2 on the 7th floor of the Elliott School of International Affairs Building at George Washington University. Snacks and refreshments, a buffet lunch, and a cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres will be provided.
For guests who need accommodations in DC, we have a discounted hotel block available at the Hotel Lombardy, just a 10-minute walk from our conference venue.
Building a Better Fed Framework will serve as a great opportunity to examine the Fed’s monetary policy, past and present, and share ideas for improving its framework going forward. Guests will hear talks from Federal Reserve Governor Christopher J. Waller, former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Jim Bullard, and many other seasoned experts in monetary economics.
