ECON 467 Health Economics (also listed as ECON 652)
Are you ready to dive into the dynamic intersection of healthcare and economics? This course offers an exploration of the healthcare system through the lens of economics, providing you with invaluable tools to analyze healthcare choices at both macro and micro levels. From market forces to policy interventions, we'll navigate the landscape together. You'll be introduced to essential data sources and interactive tools in health economics. Through engaging weekly assignments, you'll learn to craft a public health economic research question and produce a paper ready for presentation.
The only prerequisite is Econ 101. We start with a quick review of microeconomics to refresh your knowledge. There are two sessions of the course, one meets Tuesdays 7:10-9:40 pm and the other meets on Wednesdays 7:10-9:40 pm.
