All UMBC students now show an advising & clearance hold on their MyUMBC accounts for Fall 2026 enrollment.  However, registration clearance is not yet available from the Department of Economics.  

DO NOT schedule appointments for schedule advising or clearance UNTIL your economics department advisor or faculty advisor is assigned.  Any requests for registration clearance at this point will not be scheduled or will be canceled.  

Stay tuned for announcements via the Econ Group and UMBC email from the department advisor on or about Thursday, March 12th, 2026

Advising and clearance may be arranged after that date; however, be aware that Advanced Registration for Fall 2026 classes does not begin until March 31st, 2026, and is assigned according to your earned credits.  

Once you are advised and cleared, then check the Registration Appointment Calendar for your registration appointment.
