Position Title: Assistant Professor of Economics

Position Description
Duties entail active publication in peer reviewed journals along with graduate and undergraduate teaching in the field of health economics and related areas of applied microeconomics. While teaching will be focused in the Department of Economics, the successful applicant for this position will have opportunities to participate in teaching and dissertation advising in the health policy and economics tracks of the Public Policy PhD program at UMBC. UMBC is initiating a multi-year interdisciplinary faculty hiring initiative related to the theme of Health Equity/Health Disparities. Opportunities for collaboration by the successful candidate with this nascent research group will be available.

Qualifications: Completion of PhD is required.
