How I Learned to Express My Creativity – MARCH 12
Want to launch your own business? Don't miss this!
Kicking off our Spring Speaker Series with a bang, we’re excited to host entrepreneur Yair Flicker for a talk about how his entrepreneurial endeavors have changed him and how he has shaped the multiple organizations he’s been involved in. If you’re thinking of launching your own business and ready to learn from someone who has done it three times already, you’re not going to want to miss this!
A first generation American, Yair Flicker moved to Baltimore in 2001 to get his BS and MSE in Computer Science at John Hopkins University. Though he graduated in 2006, he founded SmartLogic, a software development consulting firm, in 2005. Since then, he’s developed two other companies in addition to being the president of SmartLogic: TeamPassword, a SAAS solution for companies and teams that need to manage passwords, and Bikemore, a nonprofit advocating for policies and infrastructure that create thriving neighborhoods in Baltimore. In addition to these companies, he is also the director at Emerging Technology Centers (ETC), the director of the Maryland/Israel Development Center (MIDC), an advisory board member for Betamore, an Accelerate Baltimore Selection Judge and Mentor, and the former vice chair of the Greater Baltimore Tech Council. In his free time (how does he have free time?!) he loves to travel, bike, and play piano.
If all of this sounds interesting, meet us on Monday, March 12th from noon to 1 PM in UC 310. We’re excited and hope to see you there!
