Join us for the Entrepreneurs Panel next Monday, April 17th, from 12-1pm in University Center 312.
This event will feature Marion Vanzie & Tasha Sharif Vanzie. Marion is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer and Tasha is the Chief Strategy Officer of Agile Care Enterprises, LLC. During their presentation titled, "The Vanzie Alchemy: 7 Tips for Entrepreneurial Startup Success", Marion and Tasha will discuss their strategic partnership and process for choosing entrepreneurship as an enterprise model to achieve work-life balance.

This Entrepreneurs Panel event will feature three entrepreneurs from our community:- Chandler Givens, Director of Product & Commercial Innovation at Avast
- Alaire Jameson '19 '20, Co-Founder & COO of Upfront Capital
- Amanda Ly '20, Founder & CEO of Opalescent Soul Garden Co.
During this presentation, each panelist will share about their entrepreneurial journey as well as answer questions from the audience. FREE snacks will be provided!
YOU'RE INVITED to the 2023 CBIC Final Event
The 2023 CBIC will be held on Thursday, April 20th from 7-9pm in the Skylight Room! This event showcases the finalists from this year's competition entries. The CBIC is an opportunity for UMBC students who are serious about starting a business or social impact venture to pitch their idea to a panel of judges to win money to help launch their venture.A networking session with heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be held prior to the event for attendees to meet alumni entrepreneurs, fellow students and community members interested in entrepreneurship.
ABCEI's Student Entrepreneurship Ambassadors (SEAs)
The Alex. Brown Center has a new opportunity for students who are passionate about entrepreneurship! We are hiring Student Entrepreneurship Ambassadors, also referred to as SEAs!SEAs will help engage the entrepreneurship community at UMBC through events and campus-wide programming. Members of the group will serve as the student voice of the Alex. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ABCEI), and will be advocates for entrepreneurship programs across campus. In Art 339, students will explore, present, debate, and write about human-derived systems and their relationship to urban communities through group-centered projects that involve sketching, mapping, and model building. Students will understand how Design professionals operate within and alongside systems as entrepreneurial thinkers and organizers of information, people, the built environment, and other human-made systems.

The Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO) is hosting a pitch competition called Slyngshot! Slyngshot takes you from an idea in your head to a developed business plan in 30 minutes.This Pitch Competition is exclusively for CEO members and there is a $1,500 prize on the line!
