Baltimore’s newest social impact hackathon, GiveBackHack, is coming up!
GiveBackHack is a weekend-long hackathon that brings together passionate community members to develop sustainable, technology-based solutions to some of our most pressing social issues. It is coming to Baltimore for the first time this fall, from Friday, October 26th to Sunday,
October 28th, at Allovue (301 W. 29th St. Baltimore, MD 21211).
At the event, you’ll have a chance to:
- Share your idea and/or listen to other participants’ ideas of how to help solve the community’s problems.
- Team up around an idea that you believe in and work on it over the weekend. Build an MVP with the support of some incredible mentors.
- Present the idea with your team to a panel of judges. The top teams are provided with resources to move forward and sustain their ideas.
Tickets can be purchased on their website at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/givebackhack-baltimore-2018-tickets-44691070194. UMBC students can receive a 50% discount on their ticket by using the code UMBC-50. A single ticket includes 7 meals, a t-shirt, and the opportunity to gain follow-on funding for whatever you create over the weekend!
