In two weeks, on February 25th, UMBC will once again be hosting the Maryland FIRST LEGO League (FLL) robotics state championship. This event takes a lot of volunteers to make a success, and we have a number of positions still available. This year's theme is Super Powered, and is all about energy!
FLL is a STEM-based program for students aged 9-14 that combines robotics and technology with teamwork and problem-solving. This is an excellent opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and skills in a fun and challenging environment.
As a volunteer, you will have the chance to work with teams of students and witness firsthand the creativity and innovation and fun that these students bring to the competition.
Attached is the volunteer information sheet with signup information, feel free to pass it along to anyone you think might be interested, and please email fll@umbc.edu if you have any questions about volunteering or run into any issues getting registered.
All volunteers will get a volunteer t-shirt and be well fed throughout the day, in addition to helping 60 teams of kids have a great experience.
