Message Summary: Some Omnilert subscriptions expired automatically without notice. Even if you believe you are enrolled, we encourage you to check your subscription status to ensure you receive text alerts.
Dear UMBC Community,
UMBC uses Omnilert to send time-sensitive emergency and weather alerts by text message and email.
Recently, we identified that some subscribers may no longer be receiving text alerts due to an old expiration setting that was part of Omnilert's original campus rollout. While this setting has now been corrected, some accounts may need to be reactivated.
Because some accounts may expire automatically, and there is no notification when this occurs, we encourage all community members to take a moment to check their Omnilert subscription status and opt back in if needed.
If you are not currently enrolled, this is also a good opportunity to sign up to ensure you receive important campus safety and weather notifications.
Thank you for helping us keep the UMBC community informed and safe.
