September 28 & 29 - First Gen Office Hours
First Generation Office Hours were designed to create a safe place for first generation students to come and speak with First-Gen Faculty/Staff here at UMBC. During office hours to can ask a range of questions regarding navigating college as a first-gen student to questions regarding resources to support the student with being successful.
October 4 &11 - Brown Bag-Lunch Discussion
Brown Bag Lunch Discussions were designed to create a safe space for first generation students here at UMBC to come together to discuss various topics regarding navigating institutional systems and structures. Discussion topics include, but not limited to, financial aid, graduate school admission process, academic success, positive mental health practices, study abroad opportunities, career development, etc.
