What is a first-generation college student? UMBC defines a first-gen student as anyone whose parent/guardian did not complete a bachelor's degree.

THIS IS THE EVENT FOR YOU!
Come join us on Tuesday, February 9 between 6:00pm to 7:00pm to meet the first generation faculty, staff and network supporters!
Our mission is to support students who sometimes lack the information possessed by students who have the benefit of parents who have attended and completed college.
We will start the event with introductions of the workgroup, our faculty/staff members, resources for students and ways parents and families can stay connected. The second half of the event will be comprised of a Q&A session for any students, family members and supporters to ask. Come with questions! Don't be shy!
