Interested in learning how maps are created and how spatial data is used in the real world? GES 286 introduces Geographic Information Systems and spatial analysis through hands-on activities and real applications.
This course satisfies the GEP Science requirement with a lab component and is a great option for Summer I.
What you will do
• Learn the basics of GIS and spatial analysis
• Work with mapping tools and real data
• Participate in engaging activities, including balloon mapping
