As part of our upcoming Critical Social Justice (CSJ) Week, you are
invited to the WGEC's Racial Healing Discussion Panel on February 11th
from 3-5pm at the AOK Gallery Library. Critical Social Justice Week is a
UMBC campus-wide initiative dedicated to deepening our collective
understanding of equity, inclusion, and community care. CSJ Week invites
students, staff, and faculty to engage in meaningful conversations
about justice and belonging within and beyond the university. Come
listen in or discuss how campus communities can strive for racial equity
and open dialogue.
Keynote Speaker: Eric Ford - Executive Director, Public Service Programs, The Shriver Center
Panelists will include:
- Dr. Brandon Beck - Assistant Professor, Department of Education & Affiliate Assistant Professor, Africana Studies
- Dr. Fan Yang - Director of Asian Studies Program, Professor, Department of Media & Communications Studies, & Affiliate Professor, Language, Literacy, and Culture Doctoral Program
- Kiaron Bailey, M.A. - Operations Manager, Morgan State University Center for Urban Health Equity
