chip and RRStor Downtime Scheduled for October 27th

To all chip users,

On Tuesday October 27th, the chip cluster will be inaccessible from 0800ET - 1800ET. This maintenance window will be for upgrading our core server infrastructure to improve overall system stability, reliability and security. 

We understand that this downtime will be disruptive, but the Research Computing & Data Team will endeavor to complete this and other routine maintenance quickly and alert the user base to resumed operations.

Very important: Please note that all jobs running during this maintenance window will be canceled. To prevent lost work, please plan your workloads around this downtime or verify that your jobs are properly checkpointing.
