How to connect wirelessly in classrooms and conference rooms
Download Kramer VIA at the Apple store or at Google play
Open Kramer Via on your device (Do not select connect by browser)
· VIA App launch the installed VIA app, then input the IP address shown on the monitor then type in the room code to present.
- I have found that you need to open the file to present prior to hitting share
- Select share screen
- Scroll or select the file you want to display
Common Settings & Management
· Client mode: Your phone or laptop must be connected to EduRoam for the Wi-Fi network.
· Security: Each room has an individual IP address, please make sure you are selecting the correct one if multiple choices are presented.
· Sound: Some files that on your phone or hard drive will play through the monitor, streaming from the web will not, we’re working on it.
· Sharing: Only one person at a time can share the monitor, if a second person needs access the first presenter must invite subsequent presenters by clicking the person icon with the plus sign, followed by adding their UMBC email address for a link. The second presenter accesses through the email link.
