The annual Open Enrollment period for UMBC employee health benefits is fast approaching. Please join us for the Annual Health Benefits Fair on Tuesday, October 3, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., in the University Center Ballroom to meet with state healthcare vendors and learn more about health and wellness initiatives and events offered across campus. In addition to the fair, we will be holding two health benefits information sessions on Tuesday, October 24 and Monday, November 13 from 12–1 p.m. in UC 312. Details on the information sessions can be found on the HR Training myUMBC group.
Open Enrollment will run from October 12 through November 15. During this time, employees can make changes to their health benefits, which take effect January 1, 2018. If there are no changes in coverage, current elections will roll over into the 2018 plan year. However, employees currently enrolled in flexible spending accounts must re-enroll in order to keep coverage for 2018.
