The annual Open Enrollment period for faculty and staff health benefits ends onNovember 15. Employees who need to make changes to their health benefits OR those who wish to enroll or keep their Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for 2018 should take action now. If there are no changes in coverage, current elections will roll over into the 2018 plan year and no action is required.
As a reminder, we are hosting a second information session in UC 312 from 12 – 1 p.m.on Monday, November 13.
Important Updates:
- Healthcare FSA Limit Increase: IRS has recently increased the maximum annual election for the Healthcare Flexible Spending to $2,650 (from $2,600) for 2018. The maximum biweekly amount will now be $110.41. Please note:employees currently enrolled in an FSA must re-enroll by calling the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system at 410-669-3893 prior to November 15 in order to keep coverage for 2018.
- New Prescription Cards: CVS Caremark will replace Express Scripts effective January 1, 2018. Employees currently enrolled in prescription drug coverage will automatically be enrolled with Caremark and will receive new cards prior to the new year. Please use the pharmacy locator tool on the CVS Caremark website to check your pharmacy to see if it participates in the CVS Caremark network.
- Don’t forget to complete your State Wellness Program activities to get free copays to your Primary Doctor and reduced copays to specialist.
