Dear Colleagues,
Each year on May 1, we participate in National College Signing Day, an initiative led by Better Make Room celebrating students who are choosing to complete their education by attending college.
In any year, we would be thrilled to welcome the incoming class to UMBC. But this year, our community is more important to us than ever, and we want to show our incoming students that they are already a part of it.
To that end, we invite you/your team to share your welcome message or advice, along with a photo or video of you decked out in Retriever gear, on social media on May 1 using #RetrieverNation and #UMBCtogether.
Feel free to use an old photo or video, or to have some fun with your Retriever spirit at home. We hope this message is not only meaningful to you, but that it is even more meaningful for our new students.
