Named after Lehigh Vally in Pennsylvania, Lehigh University was founded in 1865 by philanthropist Asa Parker with the mission of improving the intellectual and moral of young men in the valley. Throughout the years, the school has consistently been ranked among the top institutions in business, engineering, education, and other disciplines.
As the university continues to nurture generations of future leaders, the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (ChBE) at Lehigh is also no exception with a mission to "educate students in the scientific principles of chemical and biomolecular engineering and provide opportunities to explore their applications in the context of a humanistic education that prepares them to address technological and societal challenges." ChBE faculty research covers a wide spectrum in the chemical engineering realm, from biomolecular science, functional materials and nanotechnology, to colloids, emulsions, and interfacial science in both experimental and computational fields.
As an institution in the Mid- Atlantic Region, it is our pleasure to welcome Lehigh University participants to the 2024 AIChE Mid- Atlantic Regional Conference at UMBC. The ChBE department had very generously offered their support as a Silver Sponsor and would be present at the Career Fair to talk to interested attendees about the Graduate Programs offered at Lehigh. Once again, we would like to thank ChBE at Lehigh for all your help with the conference, and we are excited to see Lehigh's presence at UMBC this April!
