As followers of Jesus, the words of Scripture are central to how we understand God and the world.  But as people who live in 2021, there's also a lot of stuff in there that's just hard to get our minds around.  We'll struggle with violence in Scripture- especially violence that is said to be sanctioned by God- and what Jesus has to say about violence now.
