Title: Variations on Mazur-Ulam theorem
Speaker: Roman Sznajder
Abstract
The classical Mazur-Ulam theorem states that every isometry g of one real normed space onto another such that g(0) = 0 is a bounded linear operator.
We will give at least two various proof (time permits): one classical (Mazur-Ulam 1932), another by Figiel, Šemrl, Väisälä (2002) using entirely different methods. We will also mention some generalizations.
