Title: Proportional Closeness Estimation of Probability of Contamination Under
Group Testing
Group Testing
Abstract: The objective is to estimate the probability of contamination of a disease in a give population. In order to save expenses (or number of testing) the procedure is done in groups of size k. The question is how many group to test in order to obtain estimates with a prescribed precision. We consider the prescribed proportional closeness as an index of precision. The required number of groups to attain a desired precision is a function of unknown parameters. We consider Sequential and Two-stage procedures and study their properties.
