The Meyerhoff Monthly meeting is this Friday, October 16, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at UMBC in the Biological Science Building, Room 004 (BS004). Parking on campus is free (around the loop) after 3:30 p.m. and you can park in the gated administration lot on Administration Drive for $.50. Please note, there is a class in BS004 until 3:50 p.m.

We will also have an invited guest at the meeting - Joseph Frascella, Director, Division of Clinical Neuroscience & Behavioral Research, National Institute on Drug Abuse, National Institute of Health
Dr. Frascella is currently Director of the Division of Clinical Neuroscience and Behavioral Research at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He leads a broad drug abuse and addiction program of translational research and research training in clinical neuroscience, human development, and behavioral treatment. Prior, he served for several years as NIDA’s Chief of the Clinical Neuroscience Branch, and before that, he was program director of NIDA’s pain research, neuroscience training, and human neuroimaging programs within the Division of Basic Research. He serves on many committees and workgroups both within NIDA and across the NIH. Before joining NIDA, Dr. Frascella directed a neurophysiology research program at the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, and prior to that he held the position of Assistant Professor within the Department of Psychology at Brown University. He received an AB in Biopsychology from Hamilton College, and a MSc and a PhD degree in Experimental Psychology / Neuroscience from Brown University.
