We had 10 members attend the 2024 Annual Session in Annapolis. With around 100 attending members on Saturday, the MSL ran a bicameral structure on Saturday for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic. UMBC DCP and Lt. Governor Dominick Satterwhite served as Senate President Pro Tempore and Evan Royston was appointed as parliamentarian for the House while Attorney General Nehal Naqvi served as clerk of the Senate. Returning VDCP Aashna Gupta ran for Attorney General and Evan Royston was elected Secretary of State. Upcoming delegate Mohammed Arshad was elected Lt. Governor and won the award for Best Upcoming Delegate. Former Treasurer and Attorney General Nehal Naqvi ran for Governor. DCP and former Lt. Governor Dominick Satterwhite was re-elected as DCP, with upcoming delegates Tareq Aziz and Amelie Bedard being elected as Treasurer and Secretary for the UMBC delegation, respectively.
