Welcome Back fellow ODK members!
For our first meeting of the semester, we have some exciting things to prepare for and we want to get YOU involved!
1. Recruitment: We are beginning our
recruitment process for our next class of ODK members. We are going to
put together some promotional materials and we are asking for your help
for this. We would like to highlight what makes ODK different from other
leadership honor societies on campus. One major difference we wish to
highlight is that we honor students in five different areas of
leadership (no other leadership honor society can make this claim):
Scholarship
Athletics
Campus or Community Service, Social and Religious Activities and Campus Governance
Journalism, Speech and the Mass Media
Creative and Performing Arts
We would like
to have photos of our members and/or quotes describing your activity in
one of these five areas and how it impacted your leadership experience. Please join us at this meeting so we can brainstorm ways in which your story can be used to promote ODK at UMBC! If you can not make the meeting, but would like to participate in our promotions in some way, please contact Sarah Swatski at swatski1@umbc.edu.
2. We want to present to you a new leadership
activity/project that we believe will help promote your individual
leadership skills and talents to the world! Please join us at this
meeting so we can present this activity in greater detail.
Please remember, also, to register for the Drive-In meeting at University of Richmond on Feb 23, 2012. Registration deadline is February 9th.
