ISKME and CAST’s National AEM (Accessible Educational Materials) Center invite teams of faculty and staff to learn how to use accessible Open Educational Resources (OER) to make learning more equitable and bust the barriers to learning that millions of learners experience every day.
Our Accessible OER Academy series is provided at no-cost to teams at Institutions of Higher Education (IHE) and will introduce cohorts to how openly licensed resources are key levers for both adapting existing resources to increase digital accessibility and designing resources that are accessible for learners with disabilities from the start. Participants will also gain an understanding of how accessibility relates to Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
The series consists of six sessions -- three 90-minute webinars and three 90-minute implementation sessions as outlined below. All sessions will be from 2:00-3:30 pm ET.
For more information, please review the Information Flyer and the Application Form for the series. Teams should submit one application. Please contact Instructional Technology if you are interested in participating.
Questions may be directed to Joanna Schimizzi (joanna@iskme.org) and Alison Driscoll (adriscoll@cast.org).
