On Tuesday, July 2, a significant portion of Lot 8 will be closed so that Facilities Management can remove a temporary trailer at the UMBC Police Station. The east and north sections of Lot 8 will be closed for the entire day in order to allow construction vehicles to navigate through the area.
A smaller portion will remain open. Overflow parking will be available in Lot 22 (directly across Hilltop Circle from Lot 8) during this time. Signs will be posted to direct vehicles through the area and Facilities Management,
Parking Services and UMBC Police staff will be onsite to help direct traffic. The accessible parking spaces on the PAHB side of Lot 8 will not be affected by this closure.
Accessibility is part of the design process. Facilities will work in partnership with Accessibility and Disability Services to ensure accessible parking needs are met. If you have a concern about accessibility or want to inquire about a disability-based accommodation, please do so through their website.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to Stephen Sunderlin (sunderlin@umbc.edu) at UMBC Design & Construction Services.
