Food For Fines is Back
Program Runs Through November 6
UMBC Parking Services is once again hosting its Food for Fines Program. This is your chance to help fellow members of the UMBC community who are facing food insecurity while offering you the opportunity to reduce a citation.
How does this work?
1) Donate 5 Non-Perishable Items or 5 Toiletry Items (unfortunately, we cannot accept toilet paper or paper towels)
Items in need include:
- Canned Goods
- Peanut Butter and Jelly
- Cereal
- Protein Bars/Drinks
- Shelf-Safe Microwaveable Meals
- Diapers/Wipes
- Menstrual Pads/Tampons
2) We will then reduce ONE citation (original amount of $50 or less) to a warning. One citation per person. Citations must be from fall 2026.
Please note, this program is valid through November 6, 2026 only. All donations must be dropped off to the Parking Services Office.
