Learn new ways to connect to nature to relax and rejuvenate
Thursday, October 5, 2023 · 2 - 4 PM
Join Peer Listening and Laura Armstrong Falvey, a certified guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, for an on-campus walk along Herbert Run to learn to engage the senses and appreciate the benefits of being immersed in a natural environment. Slowing down and spending mindful time in nature is proven to increase immunity, reduce production of stress hormones, restore attention and enhance creativity. Learn how to support yourself and your peers by seeking ways to connect to nature for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Please wear comfortable shoes and bring an extra layer of clothing if the temperatures are cooler. We will meet in front of True Grits at 2 pm and head out from there.
